Job Summary
Provide Orthopedic Surgery care to patients as an assistant to physicians in the clinic following established standards and practices with minimal supervision. Participate in hospital call coverage, rounding, and documentation support with the orthopedic surgery physician as needed. Requires a current license in New Mexico, either as a Nurse Practitioner with Advanced Practice designation or a Physician Assistant with appropriate certification, plus three years of professional clinical experience. This role is full-time and on-site in Hobbs, NM, within Covenant Medical Group, which serves a population of 1.2 million across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
- New Mexico Registered Nurse license
- current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse recognition through the New Mexico Board of Nursing
- Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner designation
- current Physician Assistant license in New Mexico
- appropriate certification as required by applicable law and organizational policy
- 3 years professional clinical experience in a clinic or hospital setting
