Job Summary
Orthopedics NP/PA role at Sharp Grossmont Hospital: Provides and enhances patient care based on advanced nursing practice principles within the scope of the Physician Assistant role in orthopedic services. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary health-care team to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate care; performs comprehensive assessments, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, develops differential diagnoses, and plans of care; administers or prescribes treatments per standardized procedures; engages in patient and family education and supports learning needs evaluated with the team. Focuses on developing area-specific expertise, participates in professional development, and contributes to quality improvement and outcome enhancement across orthopedic care. Responsible for clinical education, supporting staff, and ensuring adherence to compliance and billing guidelines, while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- California Registered Nurse (RN) license and California NP Certificate OR California Physician Assistant License
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals (BLS)
- ACLS Certification
