Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – IP and OP Pediatric Interventional Cardiology/Pulmonary Hypertension

Job Summary

Conduct pre-procedure history and physicals, obtain consent, and place orders for pediatric cardiac interventions and pulmonary hypertension cases. Complete post-procedure assessments, discharge teaching, and discharge orders while managing outpatient treatment plans for PHT patients. Perform post-procedure follow-up visits as an outpatient, participate in the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic, and consult on all inpatient PHT patients. Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies, prescribe medications, and develop discharge plans. Maintain active Wisconsin licenses, board certification, and DEA registration. Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program
  • Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin
  • Active board certification as a NP in the following: Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Practice Nurse Practitioner
  • Active PA license in State of Wisconsin
  • Active PA board certification
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
  • CPR certification
  • advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP)
