Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will independently care for hospitalized patients at University Hospital and East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI, providing inpatient care on a hospitalist team. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, prevention, care coordination (including multidisciplinary rounds), and consultative services for patients with acute and chronic diseases. Requires NP or PA licensure in Wisconsin, board certification, and DEA license; 100% FTE with 8- or 10-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM and at least one-fourth weekend rotations plus some holidays. Required Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner licensure in Wisconsin
- Physician Assistant licensure in Wisconsin
- Active DEA license or ability to obtain prior to or upon hire
- Board certification as NP or PA in hospital practice
- Prescriptive authority in state of practice
- Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice
- Master’s or Doctorate from accredited Nursing Program for NP; Bachelor’s or Master’s from accredited PA Program for PA
