Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive direct patient care including obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing pharmacological treatments. Provide health maintenance interventions through patient and family education and counseling. Assume accountability for indirect care responsibilities such as staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement. Assist with necessary clerical functions. Maintain current Alabama CRNP or PA license, ACLS/BLS certification, and Huntsville Hospital credentialing board approval. Requires excellent communication skills for prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment and experience with electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Alabama CRNP or PA license
- Approval of the Huntsville Hospital credentialing board
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Works well with others in a team environment
