Job Summary
Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients in an ambulatory urgent care setting. Perform complete histories and physical examinations, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and develop plans of care with follow-up. Order medications and write prescriptions per organizational policies. Conduct bedside procedures including suturing, incision and drainage, and suture removal. Consistently document admission, progress, procedure, operative, and discharge notes. Evaluate non-life-threatening illnesses such as respiratory infections, UTIs, and minor injuries. Work 36 hours weekly, including two weekend shifts per month, rotating among four locations with primary base in Southampton.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Physician Assistant
- 2 years of experience as a PA
- Physician Assistant [State License]
- 1 year of Urgent Care, Primary Care, and/or Emergency Medicine experience
- Must be able to work two weekend shifts per month
- Must be willing to rotate among all four Express Care locations
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
