Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to practice within Duke Cancer Network hematology/oncology clinics in Clayton and Smithfield, NC. Responsibilities include coordinating clinical practice and program services under a physician, maintaining prescriptive authority, developing and executing Quality Improvement initiatives, participating in education programs, mentoring healthcare learners, engaging in research and applying findings to standards of care, and contributing to leadership activities. The role supports education, scheduling, and coverage within the DCN affiliate sites; requires completion of NP or PA programs, appropriate licensure (NC), BLS certification, and DEA prescriptive authority. Eligible candidates typically have 1+ years of APP experience and oncology experience is desirable. Required Qualifications
- Education: Nurse Practitioners must complete an accredited NP program with a Master's degree in Nursing; Physician Assistants must complete an accredited PA program with a Bachelor's degree (Master's strongly preferred); BLS required; NP license (RN) in NC with DEA prescriptive authority; PA license in NC with NCCPA certification; DEA license with prescriptive authority for both; Oncology experience preferred; 1+ years APP experience strongly preferred.
