Job Summary
Round on patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or kidney transplants across the tri-state area while independently managing nephrology panels through clinical evaluations, diagnostic studies, and treatment plan development. Provide comprehensive outpatient care for kidney disorders, maintain accurate medical records, and educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatment plans. Collaborate with the health care team for referrals and participate in the education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioners, and medical students. Manage outpatient e-consult volumes as needed and participate in holiday coverage schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority
- Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty
- Three (3) years nursing experience
- Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
