Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant at Christie Clinic’s Convenient Care provides general care, diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative medicine under physician supervision. Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, administering treatments, instructing patients on health management, and documenting patient progress. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, nursing credentials, advanced practice qualification, and a current state license, with a preference for those holding a Master’s Degree. A comprehensive benefits package is included, along with a competitive pay range of $53.37 - $72.21 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a health care related field
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Successful completion of a post basic advanced practice formal education program
- Successful completion of all other requirements to practice as a nurse practitioner
- Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate or CEU’s
- Current Illinois state Advanced Practice Nurse Certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license
- Current Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse Controlled Substance license
- CPR Certification
