Job Summary
The Dearborn Trauma/SICU APP team seeks motivated Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to practice at the top of their scope within a collaborative, team-based trauma and surgical critical care environment. Responsibilities include assessing patients from admission to discharge, formulating and implementing treatment plans with a collaborating physician, prescribing medications and therapies per protocol, evaluating tests, participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds, providing on-call coverage, managing symptom control during oncologic treatment, and supporting family dynamics and coping during acute and chronic care phases. The role emphasizes bedside procedures, point-of-care ultrasound, rapid assessment/management of critically injured patients, and educational opportunities for APP development; collaboration with physicians and data managers to ensure high-quality patient care is required. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing OR Masters in Physician Assistant studies
- State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required
- AHA/ARC BLS certification required
- 1 to 3 years’ experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a specialty clinical setting, preferred
