Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive medical history and physical assessments for surgical patients in accordance with state health and safety laws. Document findings accurately and legibly while maintaining continuity of care through timely communication. Function independently as an integral member of the clinical team, providing calm and efficient service in stressful situations. Requires an unrestricted Arizona license, BSN or MSN, and certification as FNP or PA-C. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing/related field
- Master of Science in Nursing/PA Studies
- Current unrestricted license with Arizona State Board of Nursing/Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants
- Board Certification as FNP/PA-C
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Timely, appropriate and concise communication that facilitates continuity of care
- Accurate, complete and legible documentation
- Knowledge of basic and specialty-specific medicine
- Knowledge and understanding of obtaining a thorough medical history
- Knowledge and understanding of physical examination requirements for surgical patients
- Knowledge and understanding of patient rights
- Ability to work independently as well as function as an integral member of the clinical team
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience is preferred but not required
