Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant sought for 100% outpatient urgent care role across AFC Urgent Care network. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages in urgent care; managing acute conditions, infections, and injuries; performing minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision & drainage; conducting DOT and employment exams; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs); counseling patients on care plans and preventive health strategies; maintaining accurate timely documentation; and collaborating with supervising physicians and team members to ensure quality care. Requires active NP (ANCC/AANP) or PA (NCCPA) license and 2+ years of relevant experience; BLS certification required or obtained during onboarding. 100% outpatient setting with no nights or on-call, offering flexible shift-based schedules and opportunities for advancement within AFC’s expansive network.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) with an active state license or Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA) with an active state license
- 2+ years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care
- Active BLS certification required or must be obtained within defined onboarding period
