Job Summary
Outpatient urgent-care role for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at AFC Urgent Care. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages in an urgent care setting; managing acute conditions, infections, and injuries; performing minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision & drainage; conducting DOT and employment physicals; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs); counseling on care plans and preventive health strategies; maintaining documentation; collaborating with supervising physicians and team members to ensure quality care. Requires active NP or PA licensure, 2+ years of urgent care/family medicine/emergency care experience, BLS certification (or onboarding timeline), and willingness to work in a part-time, outpatient setting with no nights or on-call.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) with an active state license or Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA) with an active state license
- 2+ years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care
- Active BLS certification or must be obtained within onboarding period
