Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for full-time, outpatient urgent care role. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages in urgent care; managing acute conditions, infections, and injuries; performing minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision & drainage); conducting physicals including DOT and employment exams; ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs); counseling on care plans and preventive health; maintaining thorough documentation; collaborating with supervising physicians and team members to ensure quality care. Requires active NP (ANCC/AANP) or PA (NCCPA) license, 2+ years of relevant experience, and BLS certification (on onboarding if not current). Required Qualifications
- Active state license for NP or PA
- Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) with current license OR Physician Assistant (NCCPA) with current license
- 2+ years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care
- BLS certification required or obtained within onboarding
- Ability to perform urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D)
- Ability to manage acute conditions, infections, injuries
- DOT and employment physicals experience beneficial
- Strong communication and patient-centered approach
