Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for 100% outpatient urgent-care role in AFC Urgent Care. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages in urgent care; managing acute conditions, infections, and injuries; performing minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision & drainage); conducting DOT and employment exams; ordering and interpreting diagnostics (labs, X-rays, EKGs); counseling on care plans and preventive health; maintaining timely documentation; collaborating with supervising physicians and team members to ensure quality care. Must hold an active NP (ANCC/AANP) or PA (NCCPA) license and have 2+ years of relevant urgent care/family medicine/emergency care experience; BLS certification required or obtainable during onboarding. Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) with an active state license OR Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA) with an active state license
- 2+ years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care
- Skilled in urgent care procedures and fast-paced clinic environment
- Active BLS certification required or must be obtained within onboarding period
