Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for 100% outpatient urgent care at AFC Urgent Care. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages in an urgent care setting; managing acute conditions, infections, and injuries; performing minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision & drainage; conducting DOT and employment exams; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs); counseling patients on care plans and preventive health; maintaining accurate documentation; and collaborating with supervising physicians and the care team. Requires an active NP (ANCC/AANP) or PA (NCCPA) license and 2+ years of relevant experience; BLS certification is required or obtained within onboarding. Required Qualifications
- Active state license for NP (ANCC or AANP) OR Active state license for PA (NCCPA)
- 2+ years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant
- BLS certification (active or on onboarding)
