Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive primary and specialty healthcare services for routine, acute, and chronic conditions within a Military Treatment Facility. Deliver evidence-based medical care, diagnose and treat patients, and prescribe medications and immunizations per approved protocols. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic studies and laboratory testing while promoting preventive health and wellness initiatives. Educate patients and families on disease prevention and self-care, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to coordinate optimal clinical outcomes. Recognize emergency conditions and initiate appropriate treatment or referrals. Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and instruction to healthcare staff through in-service education and training programs. Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education while ensuring compliance with facility policies and infection control standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • Current certification in the specialty area required by the task order through an approved national certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP, or specialty-specific certification organization)
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
  • Clinical experience sufficient to meet Service-specific credentialing and competency requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clinical privileges at the Military Treatment Facility
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited Physician Assistant program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
  • Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted Physician Assistant license as required by the Task Order
  • Clinical experience sufficient to meet Service-specific credentialing and competency requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clinical privileges at the Military Treatment Facility
