Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions across the lifespan while performing annual wellness visits, preventive screenings, and routine physical examinations. Manage walk-in patients with non-emergent illnesses and injuries, providing timely assessments, minor office procedures, and stabilization prior to transfer. Conduct occupational physicals including pre-employment, return-to-work, fit-for-duty, DOT, FAA, and respiratory clearance exams; administer drug and alcohol screenings; and develop return-to-work recommendations. Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and imaging results, prescribe medications, coordinate specialist referrals, and educate patients on disease management and healthy lifestyle choices. Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, front office staff, and employer partners to deliver accessible, value-based healthcare for airport employees, travelers, and the community. Full-time position, M-F 8A-5P, located at Terminal One, pre-security.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider program
- Active and unrestricted Nevada Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
- Current DEA registration and Nevada controlled substance license (if applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- DOT Medical Examiner Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- At least two years of experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Occupational Medicine preferred
- Experience managing acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient setting
- Experience with Workers' Compensation and occupational medicine preferred
- Experience performing employer physical examinations preferred
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably eClinicalWorks and/or Elation
Desired Qualifications
- FAA Aviation Medical Examiner certification is a plus, when applicable
