Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner will assess and provide care to a selected group of patients in collaboration with physicians, carry out the plan of care for the patient panel, and participate in performance improvement and research activities. The NP will practice within the scope of care delivery, demonstrate leadership, and maintain professional practice standards. Requires New York State NP certification and RN licensure with current registration; English proficiency; data-entry skills; and preferred experience with inpatient rehab and subacute facilities. Per diem, day shift at Montefiore Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY, with a quoted hourly rate and 7.5 scheduled daily hours.
Required Qualifications
- New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner specialty certification and registration
- National certification in nurse practitioner specialty (ie: ANCC, AACP or NAPNAP) preferred
- BLS required
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to use data entry and retrieval system
- Experience with inpatient rehab and subacute facilities preferred
