Nurse Practitioner-Peds Hospitalists-PRN

Conduct comprehensive direct patient care for pediatric patients including obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic testing, diagnosing illness, and prescribing treatments. Provide health maintenance through patient and family education and counseling while assuming accountability for indirect responsibilities such as staff and student education, clinical research, and quality improvement. Maintain current registration through the Alabama board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners with approval from the Huntsville Hospital credentialing board. Complete Pediatric Nurse Practitioner national certification and hold a Master's of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
