Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner – Pediatrics (PNP) sought to join Cortica’s Pediatric Neurology/Neurodevelopmental Medicine team. The role involves completing thorough patient intakes, screenings, and assessments, triaging referrals, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team, and practicing within California Board of Nursing guidelines (including placing orders and tests per approved protocols). The NP will provide clinical documentation in EMR (Athena), communicate with patients and families, participate in performance reviews, and potentially engage in telehealth Welcome Visits, nutrition/education programs, and medical management alongside neurodevelopmental specialists. Ideal candidates have pediatric outpatient experience (preferably in behavioral neurology/NDM), active RN and NP licenses in-state, board certification (AANP/ANCC), familiarity with ADIR/ADOS, telemedicine capabilities, and a genuine interest in serving children with neurodevelopmental conditions and their families. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a base pay range of $60.43 to $75.53 per hour (annualized as $125,694 to $157,102).
Required Qualifications
- Active RN and NP license in practicing state
- Board Certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) credentialing/eligibility
- Minimum of 12 months in pediatric outpatient practice (preferably behavioral neurology/NDM)
- Proficiency in ADIR/ADOS diagnostic evaluation (Gold standard)
- Telemedicine skillset and ability to document via EMR (Athena)
- Ability to work with interdisciplinary pediatric neurodevelopmental team
- Strong communication and administrative/clerical proficiency
- Desire to work with pediatric patients with neurodevelopmental conditions and families/caregivers
