Job Summary
Oversee clinical care and treatment for patients enrolled in palliative services through face-to-face visits in homes across Boise and surrounding areas. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group and attending physicians to develop patient/family care plans, educate families on disease processes and self-care techniques, and document visits based on established needs. Provide clinical direction to the team and consult on palliation issues as needed. Requires current RN and APN licensure, two years of APN experience, and ability to work a flexible schedule with on-call rotation of 1-2 weeks monthly.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- Current State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current State license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- Current Driver's License
- Two years' experience as an APN
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology
- Comprehensive knowledge of palliative care
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-of-life
- Good interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid auto liability insurance
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to travel locally
- PRN emergency call
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical care setting preferred
- Hospice experience preferred
- Home health experience preferred
