Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive palliative care, including thorough patient assessments, symptom management, and advanced care planning discussions. Administer medications for pain, nausea, and dyspnea while coordinating care with hospitalists, oncologists, and social workers. Facilitate goals of care conversations and document all interactions for billing and quality improvement. Support education of medical and nursing staff on palliative principles. Work flexible shifts involving inpatient and outpatient consultations with a call rotation model. Board-certified Nurse Practitioner with Palliative Care specialization required. Competitive base salary with CME allowance and recruiting incentives available.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) License in the state of Colorado
- Current Nurse Practitioner Certification from a recognized national certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP)
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Palliative Care and Hospice Nursing (APHN or ACHPN)
- extensive experience and demonstrable expertise in palliative care
- Successful completion of a clinical practicum
- relevant experience in palliative medicine
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or 10lbs constantly)
