Nurse Practitioner (Outpatient)

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians. Interview patients and family members to construct medical histories, perform physical examinations, and evaluate patient behavior. Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care while securing informed consent and making referrals. Directly perform or order diagnostic studies, interpret results, and administer medications or vaccines as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, medication orders, and discharge records while utilizing cost-containment measures. Requires Master's or Doctorate in Nursing, RN and NP licensure, and CPR/BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices

- Two years' relevant clinical experience
