Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic Trauma

Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner to manage orthopedic trauma patients in collaboration with the orthopedic trauma surgeon(s); direct clinical management through utilization of approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation. The NP will work closely with the Orthopedic Trauma Medical Director and other members of the trauma service to evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room, provide direction to hospital personnel regarding patient management issues, and manage inpatient orthopedic fracture patients. This role also operates in the operating room and outpatient clinic settings. A full-time rotation includes clinic, operating room, inpatient rounding, and PA call coverage. Must have a valid ID license and possess controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA, along with past surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital-based setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho
- valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Board of Pharmacy and DEA
