Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job Summary
Evaluate and implement high-quality medical care for adult and pediatric patients, including procedures such as suturing and abscess drainage, while adhering to Piedmont Urgent Care's service standards. Provide authenticated reports of all services rendered, maintain accurate clinical records, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to facilitate care and reimbursement. Participate in required operations meetings, complete necessary documentation, and maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS. Read diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs as part of daily patient assessment. This role reports to the Regional Vice President of Clinical Operations and offers flexible 3-day/12-hour weeks for full-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in accordance with the state of Georgia
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
- Current DEA registration
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
- Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults
- Positive, energetic attitude which inspires other team members
- Sense of service and team orientation absent of hubris
