Job Summary
Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans and review electronic medical records via a secure web portal to complete required VA forms and provide medical opinions. Accurately document exam findings while adhering to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs privacy and gender-specific protocols. Perform focused physical exams without treatment or prescribing responsibilities, serving a caseload of 3-5 Veterans daily. Maintain a professional demeanor during interactions and utilize strong analytical skills to assess data. This structured, part-time role offers a predictable schedule with no on-call duties, supported by comprehensive training and benefits including health insurance and malpractice coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant license
- Male gender (to comply with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs requirements related to examinee privacy and gender-specific protocols)
- Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation
