Job Summary
Conduct medical evaluations, treatment, counseling, and referrals under physician supervision, including diagnostic imaging, therapeutic procedures, and pharmaceutical prescriptions. Perform physical examinations, interpret laboratory and radiologic studies, and develop patient management plans based on evidence-based medicine. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, maintain electronic medical records for optimal billing, and provide patient education on wellness and prevention. Participate in virtual care services, patient satisfaction initiatives, and multidisciplinary teaching for students and residents. Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and clinical guideline implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Board eligible or board-certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant
- Current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey, as determined by the job location
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant
- Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for Physician Assistants
- Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day; 3 hours at a time
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day; 8 hours at a time
- Ability to walk for up to 6 hours per day
- Ability to frequently lift, carry and push objects up to 10 pounds
- Ability to rarely lift, carry and push objects up to 75 pounds
- Ability to frequently stoop and bend
- Ability to frequently reach above shoulder level
- Ability to frequently handle, firm grasp and twist & turn as it relates to performing procedures
- Ability to perceive attributes of an object through touch
- Ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation, high and low frequencies
- Ability to see as it relates to general, near, far, color and peripheral vision
- Ability to speak as it relates to normal conversation and projection as it relates to lectures and presentations
