Job Summary
Sub-Investigator for clinical research studies (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) assigned to research trials across multiple therapeutic areas. Responsibilities include performing physical exams and medical history assessments, assisting the Principal Investigator with medical management, conducting informed consent, collecting and organizing data, training site staff on protocols, ensuring IRB-approved processes, monitoring patient safety, and potentially serving as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of information, adhere to GCP/ICH/FDA guidelines and SOPs, manage SAEs and study documents, and coordinate with sponsor representatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of clinical experience with an active license; BLS/ACLS certification is required; bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus. Full benefits are offered for full-time equivalent hours; onsite/locations include Charlottesville, VA and multiple sites across AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, MO, NV, SC, TX, VA, and Puerto Rico.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active license as an advanced practice professional in state of practice
- 2+ years clinical experience preferred
- BLS/ACLS certified
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
