Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Pain Management in outpatient clinic settings. Collaborative model with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff; supervision by Medical Director or approved staff physician; responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating medical and nursing care, emergency stabilization of critically ill patients, teaching residents and medical students, staff development and patient discharge planning; requires strong communication, computer skills, and ability to work across departments; travel between facilities and flexible scheduling (including weekends/holidays) are required; licensure and certification requirements include APRN license (MS) or PA license with NCCPA certification, BCLS/ACLS, and prescriptive authority; education prerequisites: NP Master’s or PA Bachelor’s/Master’s; experience preference of 3 years for some roles; commitment to equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner Required – Master’s degree in Nursing
- Physician Assistant Required - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences, or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Training Program
- Nurse Practitioner Required - Current License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice
- Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified for Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice as outlined by the State Board of Nursing
- Physician Assistant Required - License as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice, NCCPA Certified
- Must be able to travel between facilities
- Medium Work physical demands and ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (24/7, weekends, holidays, on call)
