Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Urgent Care PRN role within an inter-professional team delivering care in outpatient, telehealth, and occupational medicine settings. Responsibilities include obtaining histories, conducting assessments, ordering/interpreting diagnostics, providing direct patient care and management with prescriptive authority or referrals, participating in quality improvement, staff development and patient education, and supporting credentialing and compliance. Requires Master's (nursing) for NP or Bachelor's/Master’s for PA, active APRN/PA licensure in state of practice, BCLS/ACLS, and prescriptive authority eligibility; travel between facilities and a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays. Required Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner Required – Master’s degree in Nursing
- Physician Assistant Required - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences, or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Training Program
- Nurse Practitioner Required - Current License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice
- Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified for Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice as outlined by the State Board of Nursing
- Physician Assistant Required - License as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice, NCCPA Certified
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice as outlined by the State Board of Nursing
