Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Orthopedic Surgical Hospitalist (Jackson, CA)

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic imaging, and develop treatment plans for orthopedic patients. Perform pre-operative assessments, assist surgeons in the operating room, and manage post-operative follow-up visits. Provide inpatient care, conduct hospital rounding, and monitor recovery while identifying complications. Evaluate new and established patients across the continuum of care, including outpatient clinics and surgical assistance. This role involves a mix of clinic, surgical, and inpatient responsibilities with approximately 40% clinic, 35% operating room, and 25% inpatient rounding duties. You will work with both elective and hospitalized orthopedic patients, supporting a growing program in Amador County.
