Job Summary
Provide direct oncology care in collaboration with physicians and the broader care team, delivering consistent, compassionate, evidence-based care with a strong focus on patient experience. Communicate clearly with patients, families, and referring physicians while managing priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Document and navigate workflows in the EMR (EPIC) and use standard office/clinical software tools. Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and board certification as a Nurse Practitioner with an Oregon license, including AONCP certification. This full-time, day-shift role supports a collaborative cancer care team in Oregon, emphasizing clinical voice and patient-centered outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with an Oregon license
- AONCP certification required by time of hire
- Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges (credentialing/privileging required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while staying highly team-oriented
- Professional, patient-centered, and collaborative with a growth mindset
- Maintains consistent, reliable attendance
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
- Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
- Adequate hearing and visual acuity (including color vision)
- Use of fine motor skills and strong eye-hand coordination
- Ability to assist patients with mobility/transfer using safe body mechanics
- Ability to follow standard precautions due to possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids
- Ability to communicate effectively (reading, writing, speaking in person and by phone)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an oncology-certified NP in inpatient and/or outpatient settings preferred
