Job Summary
Conduct evaluation and management of hospitalized adults with pulmonary conditions, performing history and physical exams while interpreting test results and revising care plans. Monitor patient progress, coordinate with referring providers, and intervene with problems requiring specialty referral or escalation to higher levels of care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care, contribute to quality improvement projects, and present educational programs to community groups. Provide regular health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans including psychosocial support and health education. This full-time inpatient position at National Jewish Health involves rotating day and night shifts with potential travel between NJH sites.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Colorado PA license or APRN license and prescriptive authority
- DEA Registration
- PA or NP certification by a national certifying body
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS or PALS certification if applicable for specific practice area
- 1 year of recent and related experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in adult population in hospital medicine or critical care
- Travel between NJH sites of practice for APPs as needed
- Be available to work as scheduled and report to work on time
- Be willing to accept supervision and work well with others
- Be well groomed, appropriate for your role and wear ID Badge visibly
- Comply with all departmental and institutional policies, the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and completes NetLearning by due date annually

- Adhere to safe working practices and follows all institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures
- Wear appropriate PPE as outlined by the infection control policies and procedures
