Job Summary
Provide inpatient diabetes and glycemic management consultations for adult patients on Med-Surg and Step-Down units, adjusting insulin and therapies using evidence-based protocols. Collaborate with hospitalists, nursing, pharmacy, and acute care teams to deliver coordinated care while documenting directly within the hospital EMR. Practice within a highly collaborative, protocol-driven consultative model with daytime rounding only and minimal after-hours contact. This role supports the launch of a new partnership between Emory Healthcare and GlyCare, beginning January 18, 2027. Candidates must hold an active, unrestricted Georgia NP or PA license, possess recent inpatient experience, and demonstrate EMR proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Georgia NP or PA license
- NP certification as FNP, AGNP, or ACNP, or PA-C certification
- EMR proficiency
- Recent Inpatient experience
- Minimum one-year commitment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior inpatient hospitalist experience
- Outpatient diabetes management experience
- New graduates with diabetes-focused clinical rotations
