Job Summary
Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans by reviewing electronic medical records via a secure web portal and accurately documenting exam findings to complete required VA forms. Provide medical opinions based on assessment findings without treatment or prescribing medication. Schedule is part-time, two days per week from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a caseload of 3-5 Veterans daily and no on-call duties. Requires an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with 2,080+ supervised hours. Male practitioners are sought to comply with VA gender-specific protocols for sensitive examinations.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant license
- 2,080+ supervised hours
- Male gender to comply with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements related to examinee privacy and gender-specific protocols for certain sensitive/intimate examinations
- Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation
- Part-Time schedule (2 days/week, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
- In-person role location
- Caseload of 3-5 Veterans per day
- Predictable schedule with no on-call duties
