Job Summary
Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans by reviewing electronic medical records via a secure web portal and accurately documenting exam findings to complete required VA forms. Provide medical opinions based on assessment findings without performing treatment or prescribing medication. Work part-time Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a caseload of 3-5 Veterans daily. Maintain an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and demonstrate strong analytical skills for reviewing medical data. This structured role supports the Veteran community within the VA's disability benefits process, offering predictable hours with no on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation
