Job Summary
Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans by reviewing electronic medical records via a secure web portal and accurately documenting exam findings to complete required VA forms. Provide medical opinions based on assessment findings without treatment or prescribing responsibilities. Perform focused physical exams with a caseload of 3-5 Veterans daily in a part-time, 2-day schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This role requires an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and is available to male practitioners only to comply with specific VA privacy and gender-specific examination protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant license
- Male gender to comply with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements related to examinee privacy and gender-specific protocols for certain sensitive/intimate examinations
- Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation
