Job Summary

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Endocrinology at University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) to join the Endocrinology practice at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Independently assess and manage inpatients with diabetes, implement diabetes care plans with physicians and team, manage insulin pumps and CGMs, educate patients and families, collaborate with a team of diabetes-focused clinicians, and use EPIC. Schedule: Monday through Friday with every 3rd weekend rotation; 40 hours/week; no on-call. Collaborates with attending physician and nursing staff; participate in meetings and provide basic diabetes education. Qualifies for credentialing and privileges; requires eligibility or current licensure with MN Board of Medical Practice for PAs or MN APRN license for NPs; NCCPA/ANCC/AANP certification as applicable. Full-time salary range is $137,366 - $168,454, with potential incentives; comprehensive benefits including medical/dental, 401K, PTO, CE allowance, license/board/DEA fees, and a PSLF-eligible nonprofit employer. Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program
  • Eligible or certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP
  • Licensed or eligible to acquire license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NPs)
  • Able to meet credentialing and privileges thresholds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Detailed-oriented, self-motivated and a creative problem-solver
  • Experience with diabetes technology (insulin pumps, CGMs) and endocrinology is a plus
