Job Summary
Assess patient needs, plan care, and coordinate follow-up and referrals in a collaborative role with physicians and staff. Serve as a patient advocate, acting as a confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families, and medical providers. Provide education and evaluate outcomes while maintaining certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Work rotating 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) across days and nights, with moonlighting available for extra income. Join a skilled critical care team at Geisinger Community Medical Center in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, part of a system serving over one million people.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree-Physician Assistant
- Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
