Job Summary
Assess, treat, and counsel patients with heart failure, including medical evaluations, therapeutic remediation, and pharmaceutical prescriptions. Administer or order diagnostic tests, interpret results, and develop evidence-based treatment plans. Coordinate care with physicians, institutions, and public health agencies while providing patient education on wellness and prevention. Conduct virtual care assessments and perform occupational health services for pre-employment physicals and work comp cases. Maintain clinical privileges, document in electronic medical records, and participate in quality improvement, teaching, and research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Board eligible or board-certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant
- Current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey, as determined by the job location
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant
- Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for Physician Assistants
- Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day; 3 hours at a time
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day; 8 hours at a time
- Ability to walk for up to 6 hours per day
- Ability to frequently lift, carry and push objects up to 10 pounds
- Ability to rarely lift, carry and push objects up to 75 pounds
- Ability to frequently stoop and bend
- Ability to frequently reach above shoulder level
- Ability to frequently handle, firm grasp and twist & turn as it relates to performing procedures
- Ability to perceive attributes of an object through touch
- Ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation, high and low frequencies
- Ability to see as it relates to general, near, far, color and peripheral vision
- Ability to speak as it relates to normal conversation and projection as it relates to lectures and presentations
