Job Summary
Conduct age-appropriate assessments, including history taking and physical examinations, for new consults and follow-up patients. Perform office injections such as trigger point, knee, shoulder, and bursa injections, and evaluate needs for interventional procedures including epidurals and spinal cord stimulators. Manage patient medication needs while monitoring controlled substances via Urine Toxicology Tests and state records. Coordinate care with supervising physicians and other health care team members to meet quality benchmarks and operational efficiency. Cover nearby clinical sites as needed to ensure comprehensive patient support.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Must be California Licensed and Board Certified
- National Certification from one of the following organizations: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Credentialing Center
- Master of Physician Assistant
- Pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE), administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Remain compliant with state licensing credentialing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
- Maintain an NPI (National Provider Identifier) and meet Medicare prerequisites for PTAN (Provider Transaction Account Number)
- Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) license
- Ability to prescribe schedule II medications
