Job Summary

Evaluate, plan, and implement high-quality medical care for adult and pediatric patients while adhering to Prisma Health Urgent Care service standards. Provide patient care within assigned clinical areas, serve as a resource for patients and staff, and maintain accurate documentation for reimbursement. Participate in required meetings and complete necessary certifications including BLS, ACLS, and specialty training. Report all services rendered and communicate effectively to facilitate care and operations. This role reports to the Regional Vice President of Clinical Operations or Area Clinical Operations Director. Candidates must hold a valid South Carolina license for Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants, current DEA registration, and experience with procedures such as suturing and abscess drainage. FT schedules of 30 or 36 hours are available with a 3-day/12-hour week option, starting at 30 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in accordance with the state of South Carolina
  • Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
  • Current DEA registration
  • Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
  • Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
  • BLS certification
  • Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
  • Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults
  • Positive, energetic attitude which inspires other team members
  • Sense of service and team orientation absent of hubris
  • Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
