Job Summary
Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants sought to join an urgent care and occupational medicine team in Austin, TX. Provide outpatient care in an urgent care setting, perform procedures within scope, coordinate referrals, evaluate patients to establish diagnoses and treatment plans, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR, and may perform occupational and telemedicine patient care as well as non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review. Current NP or PA license required with ability to obtain DOT certification within 60 days and DEA licensure; strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential; compensation is based on experience and includes benefits such as malpractice coverage, CME allowance, PTO, 401(k), and various wellness and employee programs; the role is in-person with community care partners.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state or the ability to obtain
- Ability to obtain: DOT certification within 60 days of hire
- DEA licensure
- Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compensation based on experience, falls within established range
