Job Summary
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness while formulating patient Master Treatment Plans and assessing physical and psychiatric health. Chart clinical observations, evaluations, and treatments per facility guidelines, and communicate with physicians to ensure quality care. Encourage family involvement, address educational needs, and support legal and regulatory requirements. Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis and may order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medication. Maintain a positive, empathetic attitude prioritizing patient safety and resolving complaints promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates
- DEA license
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility
- ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner
- Autonomous
