Job Summary
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness while participating in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plans. Assess physical and psychiatric health to formulate measures meeting patient needs, chart clinical observations and evaluations per facility guidelines, and communicate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care. Encourage family involvement, respond to educational needs, and provide services adhering to state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners or PAs. Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays, and prescribe medication as required. Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis directed by medical staff. Work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under Medical Director supervision to support patients receiving specialized substance use disorder treatment at this 288-bed facility.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates
- DEA license
- knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner

- Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility
