Job Summary
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses while formulating patient Master Treatment Plans and assessing physical and psychiatric health. Chart clinical observations, evaluations, and treatments per facility guidelines, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medication as needed. Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to provide quality care, encourage family involvement, and resolve patient complaints. Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis directed by medical staff. Support legal requirements, hospital policies, and state licensure guidelines for Nurse Practitioners or PAs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates
- DEA license
- Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility
- knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner
- Autonomous
