Job Summary
Conduct in-depth patient interviews, perform physical examinations, and treat common cancer treatment complications. Directly order and interpret diagnostic studies, develop treatment plans, and perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. Document visit history, lab follow-ups, and consults in the electronic medical record while instructing patients on preventive care and prescribed treatments. Round in-patient across Palm Desert, Beaumont, and Hemet, requiring hospital privileges to assist with call. Retain full clinical management responsibility for patients while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Possession of current certificate of completion from a Nurse Practitioner program
- Current and unrestricted license to practice
- National Certification required upon employment (Nurse Practitioners)
- Will need hospital privileges to assist with call
- In-Patient rounding across Palm Desert, Beaumont, and Hemet
