Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and symptom management for adult oncology patients. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising oncologists while monitoring patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments. Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and laboratory results, then document all encounters accurately in the electronic medical record. Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and symptom management. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education. Work Monday through Friday with compensated on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license
  • Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move freely throughout the workday
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for performing physical examinations and procedures
  • Ability to lift and carry medical equipment and supplies as needed
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Compensated on-call responsibilities

  • ACLS certification
