Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients with work-related injuries and illnesses, conduct pre-employment and annual physical exams, and administer immunizations to promote employee wellness. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays and blood work, prescribe medications and therapies, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Medicine Physician. Educate patients on conditions and preventative measures while maintaining accurate patient records and documentation. Requires overnight on-call shifts, weekend availability, and a current California Nurse Practitioner license.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work overnight on-call shifts and have weekend availability
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, workers' compensation laws, and OSHA standards
- Must have a current California Nurse Practitioner license
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Must be DOT certified or certified within 30 days of hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED)
- Must have ability to lift and transfer patients
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to reach assigned destination in a reasonable time frame
- Must be able to meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, including physical examination
